Case Tested

Post by JoeBob441 »

There is a Case Tested 6299 on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/old-Case-TESTED-Gre ... dZViewItem

My Knife Collector's Guide Values it at $500 mint, bit it also shows it with a sheepfoot blade and a punch or pen blade. The knife on ebay has a sheepfoot but also a can opener?? blade. If I buy this knife it would be my most expensive purchase to date. Any thought about the authenticity of the knife? Thanks, Joe

Does the small blade with the thumb opener look correct to you? If sits on top of the handles. That blade bothers me. Have you seen them on old tested case knives?
Thanks

Thanks, I just found what I thought to be it in "Romance of Collecting Case Knives" (1978). I really appreciate your help.

I agree, it's a pretty nice old knife. The seller is also quite honest and is a board member of the NKCA.
