A momento from Elliot Spitzer
Things have been a bit hectic and I am sorry to have been remiss in my correspondence and any post I might have missed. I am attaching part of the very nice token which was sent to me regarding the new law regarding the display and various other aspects of the NYS switchblade laws . This process took 8 years and i will not even attempt to go into all it entailed. I know some of you have heard me expounding on this for sometime and it is my pleasure to post this pic to add credibility to my statments. I could not get the pen and ribbon on the scanner however I have included the important parts. This was signed on AUG last year however it had to go back to the legislature for a formality. Which was so inane that I do not want to go into it. ( well just a bit ) I wrote it one way, the legislative comittee wanted it stricter . Upon review the State police said they wanted it my way in fact insisted I knew that which is why I wrote it the way i did. Ok so the law was a law since AUG 07. However it was amended and voted on this point as a formality . I was told this would be done last Jan SOOO March it went through and i got this nice parchment with pen and ribbons in May. Since it was signed our Gov who signed it has resigned due to his proclevity for paid sex. We now have a legally blind black man from harlem whos first announcment was that he had cheated on his wife, as our governor. We apparently still Have Hillary as our Senator who will now do nothing for a few more years until she runs for President again. Unless OBama takes her for a running mate please take her. So all in all I am very happy that Spitzer signed this into law when he did. By the way this piece of paper may very well be worth a lot someday since the pen has his name on it. In any event here is a pic of ( as it was said to me by the assembly persons aide ) is the birth certificate of my new child. 62 and a daddy again. LT

Congratulations LT.
I feel honored to be one of the first to see this momento of all the time and effort you put into this new law.

If it's meant for me to have it, it'll still be there.

would that be customer number 9? A memento from him might require a dose of antibotics ....
That does not detract from your accomplishment in the least, good work. As stupid as this country is becoming in regards to any sort of weapon to reverse the tide a bit is an acomplishment to be proud of!

I knew if it could be done.......................you could do it!
Like most things, this is probably just the beginning of more work for you.………..more displays………..…..the museum...........……the book……………………the movie rights………………….the movie.
But who can play LT in the movie??? John Wayne & Charlton Heston are both dead. Is there actor with the screen presence of either of them who can play LT????
Seriously LT, I know you worked very hard for a long time on that bill.
Congratulations! You deserve it!!!

Great work and dedication. Maybe Robert DeNiro would be a good choice.

Will Ferrell? Jerry Lewis is to old. Thanks for the compliment tomorrow is Napanoch day and we are doing an exhibit of Schrades and Hudson Valley stuff so it should be busy. Stop over if you are in the area. I loaded up about 20 display cases and you cannot notice them missing because of all the others. We have started a non profit organization all the officers ect and are trying to secure what might turn out to be a great location. Who knows it is all a crap shoot. Looks like the ant is still trying to get across 42nd street ( an inside joke ). LT
