I love that old Case jack. I know a few people who have them, and I really like the pattern. My great-uncle had one, and I ended up not getting it. But the Case I did get was a '65-69 Folding Hunter, his favorite deer hunting knife, which save for a tipped skinning blade is in really good shape. I plan to tag along with a friend deer hunting this season, and I will be taking my great-uncle's old shotgun (a 20 GA Ithaca M-66 Super Single) and the Case as part of my field gear.

The pattern number 99. With yellow Delrin scales and 2 blades, the master blade being a clip point, it is a 3299 1/2.cody6268 wrote:Sasquach wrote:What a coincidence QS, I'm carrying these two today.....

I have a friend who owns about 300 acres in Bath County Va which I have permission to hunt. I don't get down there as often as I'd like.

Old Yeller looks great Sasquach.
Gdogg, nice Case, what do they call that Benchmade blade?
Keen edge finally put on the Keen Kutter so it's carryable. Diamond block Red, then Green, then stropped on 3000, 7000 grit sand paper.

Thanks Ivoryman.
That KK bare head jack ain't no slouch either.
I've been on the look out for some Keen Kutter knives for the collection but the ones I've been seeing are usually in pretty bad shape. But I'll keep looking. As the Great White Father in Washington once told Lone Wattie to do, I'll "endeavor to persevere".

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I couldn't read the head stamp under magnification. I have an old stump in WV where we target shoot frequently that has a spent cartridge from every weapon we've fired there hammered into it. It's quite a collection. Everything from .22 to .45/70 and .460 Weatherby and even .50 AE from a friends Desert Eagle. I'm waiting for one of my crazier buddies to show up with a .50 BMG Barrett or something exotic like that. Most of the shooting we do is with .22 or zeroing deer rifles but when one of us has something new or unusual to shoot...that's where we go. I hammered in the base of an old brass powder measure to indicate that my .50 Hawkin had been there.garddogg56 wrote:Thanx Charlie and Imanthey are 9mm&.380..that's called a modified sheepsfoot Iman

Thanks Gdogg, not the typical sheep.
Squach, thanks, supposed to be 1905-1920 so it's entering triple digits at least, still has many lives left in it too.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
This one's for jdub. Here are the diamond blocks, this is DMT brand, many out there for various prices. This was a bomb from Qtcut5 so a shout out to Q and the paper is pricy, but worth it and lasts for years. I put an edge on with blue, red, then green cleans it up, only use blue if it's butter knife rounded edge dull and you have to take off serious metal. Red usually is plenty, green if your edge is decent. Then the paper, a dozen or so strops on each side maybe, it polishes the blade at 5000-7000 grit, doesn't leave a burr like a stone or block, with normal use a strop on the paper will get it hair popping again in a minute or less, just a few swipes, and it's a very smooth edge, when it's done it looks polished almost to mirror. Hope it helps, good luck.
