Hey Big H!
Those are mighty fine knives to carry everyday!
I have been carrying my Case stockman and Buck Mini bantom for over a week straight.
If it works, then keep going. Thats what i say, and i'm sticking to it!

Thanks Amigo. And love those two from yesterday work, the stag is fab, the pocket slips, bead, stiching, colors. Great pair, magazine shot. So who made those beauties? Don't look like Queens, looks European to me. Probably not. Sweet pair whatever they are.

The pen knife on the left is stamped Solingen Cutlery, B. Svoboda, Germany.
The larger whittler is stamped Robt. Klaas, Solingen Germany. (pre 1970 I believe but not certain)
Both have smooth pulls, no half stops and excellent snap both ways. I've come to favor knives without half stops for users.

2014 Case LT347 Stockman
Schrade USA 106OT "Granddad's Old Timer"
Schrade USA 778 "Petite Senator" (kinda like the real thing, only actually usable when you need him)
Between the two smaller knives, I couldn't decide. They're both great. Seeing as the 778 was one of the last open stock models to be discontinued, it had to have sold well. I feel the Granddad's is incredibly underappreciated. Schrade's great carbon steel, coupled with excellent scissors makes it perfect for around the house stuff.
And on the more modern side of things.
2013 Leatherman Super Tool 300
Skedco Warfighter Extreme Medicine (by Eickhorn, made in Solingen). I like the blunt tip because it comes in handy when I need to cut myself out of thorn bushes, or the sheep out of baler twine they've got tangled up in. It's also got a strap cutter (which I've worn out cutting zip ties, feed sacks, and baler twine; but it is replaceable) and a glass breaker. These are $120 knives, but are showing up as military surplus for $30. I got mine for the cheaper price, though I would gladly pay full price; they are that well made.

Thanks NW NY!
Spending the day with my daughter, two in mammoth today. I was wearing the sub-hilt when she was born.
Tim Steingass sub-hilt, mammoth from Mark Knapp, CPM 154; Dogleg from Rick Menefee, CPM 154 and some mammoth I bought off of Charles Turnage many years ago.

Kris, two beautiful knives. I know it is early but I wonder if you have started considering your daughter's first blade.

I thought your straight knife yesterday was a looker, Montanaman, but that mammoth - wow!
Nice carries Ivoryman & sunknife, especially those German stag folders.
Sasquach, what's that equal-end you carried yesterday? I like it.
Thanks, New Windsor, & that's a sweet Camillus you just got.

Thanks geocash, much appreciated!
The grain really pops in the sunlight
Thanks QS! My oldest ,whom is 4.5, has a Mule team in Maxamet that my friend handled for her in redwood lace, his mom made the sheath. My wife has a Mule team in S110V, handled by the same gentlemen in camatillo(Mexican Kingwood), she has a more basic sheath for purse carry. My youngest at 9 months old will get one too, on the look out for a Mule team with some sweet steel. My oldest has used it a little in the kitchen, but with great supervision, as it is extremely sharp.Quick Steel wrote:Kris, two beautiful knives. Besides my normal Benchmade and SOG carrys, this Camillus 70 Cattle Knife is also occupying a pocket.
