Thanks doglegg. I like the barehead, partly because it's different than the rest of what I have & partly because I like all that bone, but it seems like without the bolster the bone is more likely to suffer when, not if, I drop it. I'll be careful.

I still don’t know for sure what my old knife was. I think there scales were bone, a very dark reddish brown. It may have said premier stock on the tang. It wasn’t too big, about the size of this one. I remember the blades being a clip, spey and very small pen. The only reason I had it is that I borrowed it off my dad so often, he finally stopped asking for it back!

I if can remember correctly garddogg, Imperial stopped using rogers bone in the 60's. Tang stamp looks like the 50's. Correct me if i am wrong guys.
