WOW Keith, you have posted some great knives, I love Congress knives and that one is stunning. The Purina is also amazing, maybe I'm dense but I'm not comprehending " For Live Cars", any ideas?

I've thought about that. I dont know the answer but here goes. A live car would be a horse. Purina made horse grain so till someone provides the real answer I'm going with that.

That actually makes sense, I think cars were originally referred to as horseless carriage so I can see the connection. That has got to be one incredibly rare knife, both condition and the advertising.espn77 wrote:I've thought about that. I dont know the answer but here goes. A live car would be a horse. Beautiful Purina Keith .
I remember reading somewhere that the large utility version was a special order Purina employee only .
I’m jealous , it’s in much better condition than my example

The live cars was the Purina advertisement for shipping poultry across the country.

Lol. Brad. That's just not right to have a knife like that that you can't find. Its probably in the wall in the bathroom of the new house you built. I'm sure your wife will be impressed when you put a hole in it looking for it.schmoozer wrote:My R3243.

We did put a “spiritual protection box” over the front door, but no knives were included.
