Nice bones geocash, what year would the barehead be? Nice pair. FFF I like that group and shot.

Thanks, Ivoryman. I think this stamp was used from about 1940 to 1964.Ivoryman wrote:Nice bones geocash, what year would the barehead be? Nice pair. FFF I like that group and shot.

Thanks geo, I should have said years plural. Great knife you have there, that's pretty.
This one's a little vague on exact year too, but I could care less about the stamp. Liked it for the bones. Case XX U.S.A. 06247 with everything from white, to pink, all kinds of reds, all the way to black. Gets me turned on anyway. And a lot of blade for such a thin package. Pen is as big as the main on some 3 inch knives. Hope you like the pics and are having a good one all.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Very nice carries Gents.
Nice 16-1/2 geo. Nice knife. Great CASE Jack pattern.
I had a XX 6216 red bone with spear main that was a contract knife made with thinner spring and blade stock. No shield. That sucker got razor sharp and traveled all over the world, mainly to SA, CA and Mexico and cut up all sorts of meat at meals when I always got a big slab of dead animal and dull restaurant knife. Gave her to a member here.
The 06247 is a great pattern iman. I have one in my EDC pile just like yours, same bone color. If I had to estimate based on bone attributes, mainly bone color accents, that knife of yours is a USA era or early 70s' knife. Pretty knife. I also have an 06147 (modified 06247 with pen removed) that I got from the member I gave the aforementioned 16 pattern too. Great pattern.

You know your bones zp4ja. Good guess. It's a '65-69. Snappy and pretty.

Ivoryman, Jerry, thanks. I've got a 2007 #6347SS & the pattern I like but the bone on the one I have doesn't come close to being as pretty as some of the reddish bones from the 60s & 70s.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Well, for the last 5 years I would have answered happily that my EDC has been a Benchmade 940 but that changed two days ago after I received this SOG Pentagon Elite 1.
I am so impressed with this new knife....very smooth, solid construction and again, VERY smooth, which is why I have carried the Benchmade 940 all these years and I must say, this SOG is as smooth and responsive if not better than my 940!
It's a Seki with VG-10 steel, RC 59-60 and a unique "shark tooth" tip grind for better piercing and strength. Light at 4.3 oz., 4.75" inches closed with a 4" inch spear point combo blade. I'm gonna be on the hunt for the larger Pentagon Elite II now.

Man what a page full of beauties. Fabulous carries all, salute, keep them coming.
Mman, way to get the piglet in there, hard to get animals to cooperate sometimes.
A few days of this one, so slim and so much blade for the package. Like looking at the bones too.
