For Sale: GEC 09 & 28

Post by kootenay joe »

The "Esquire" is an exquisite 2 7/8" sleeveboard pen knife. It is a Gent's or Ladies knife to carry in more formal occasions. This one has real pearl handles and liner & bolster edges are milled. It was purchased from the GEC store. Everything works exactly as it should and zero play. It is a "092214".

The 281111 is a 3 1/2" "Lady's Leg knife" with pink Awabi handles. This is a south seas mollusk of some sort with bright neon like colors. GEC insists these are natural handles, not a synthetic. I think this was the only time that GEC used this exotic marine material.
There was a later run of the 28 pattern and these have an etch "French Kate". Thank goodness such nonsense is not on this knife. It is a beauty with perfect blade action and no play. The heel is a cap lifter. It is a tougher knife than it looks.

I would like to sell both together for $235.
If interested please send me a PM or email: [email protected]
Thanks, kj

I'm missing the Pink Awabi already. I think it is one of the most attractive knives GEC has made. Darn seller's remorse. But ya can't keep em all and i am grateful to be able to sell them to those who will appreciate them.
