That purple is a pretty knife! It’s my favorite colour, the one between purple and blue. For some reason, I have no purple knives...yet!

Thanks for your comment zoogirl. It's not really purple, for some reason the 2nd pic made it look that way. The 2 pics were taken minutes apart and the one of the knife closed shows the correct color.

Schatt & Morgan F&W series with a big ole spear blade of ATS-34 steel plus steel pins and liners. Takes a really keen edge on the stone and is a dandy slicer. Came in white bone from the factory when I got it a few years ago, dyed it shortly after to the color it is now.

One to dye for, certainly. Great job on a really cool knife.

Thanks geocash. It originally was a solid yellowish bone color when I got it, I like what the dark brown dye did to it.

Busy week, fell way behind this thread.

This pic caused me to check on the welfare of my doctor just like that one. I swear I've got one, but have not located it. It's driving me nuts and that's just a short putt.

Here are my two for today. Both of these passed thru my friend/ member jdub at one point in time...

Two stout CASE Jacks with gator snap.

CASE XX 6265SAB Second Cut Worm Groove Stag with some of the prettiest (IMO) CASE bone I have ever seen. It is a light orange color and likely a by-product of the fact that second cut CASE stag and bone takes the dye differently than first cut.

CASE XX USA 5299-1/2 "Torpedo Jack" Based on dark vertical lines on mark side stag just inside of the bolsters, this was a display or "board knife" after it was born.

How'd your belt hold up under the strain of those two big, beautiful hunks of steel?

Sweet photo, really like the angle you got on the blade and the bright blue patina you're getting. Wow that one looks good. Goes great with the wine colored Hemlock bone. Beauty.

Its a Schrade Walden 883 Stockman. If I've looked at the old catalogs right. This one doesnt have a model number stamp on the master blade so it might still have been under the old numbering system and been a R8833.
