Identification help fixed blade survival knife

I am having a difficult time finding a similar tang stamp or design. The handles are layered micarta, one side brown and the other black. Black handle reveals a hidden compartment. A small tube containing a saw, fishing hooks, lines, compass, matches, etc. is also included and fits into the hidden compartment. Cordura sheath. Tang is stamped “Tak.F -16”.
Is this a Tak Fukuyama prototype? The only similar knife I found was a Japanese made Frost, however that one did not have a compartment and had a slightly different handle. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! It’s really frustrating when you’re looking at a post, and where the picture should be it says “no longer available”. AAPK has resolved that by providing plenty of memory and encouraging pictures to be embedded in our posts.

Now, hopefully someone that knows something about your knife will tell us about it. (I can’t help.)

That's one thing, that I really don't like on another prominent knife website...half of the pictures are no longer available for review. You can go through old AAPK threads and see all the great pictures!!!

There are two great threads over at BladeForums, one on vintage folders and the other on Sheffield knives.

They had some of the greatest knives you will ever see posted in them.

Now, thanks to PhotoBucket and others changing their hosting policies or members simply dropping off a hosting site, fully half of those photos are gone and replaced by a photo of a tabby cat or something.

That’s one thing BRL got wrong when he started BF.

About O.P. knife. I have not seen this one before but i don't collect fixed blades that much. I do think it is a Tak Fukuyama knife. He often did design work for various knife 'promoters'/companies and this could be a prototype made to show various knife 'dealers' so they could order some from him.
However it could also be a knife he sold under his own name.
There is only one "Tak F."

Thanks! Yeah, I’m more into vintage folders as well, but do have a few fixed. All my research, be it limited, points me to a rejected prototype by Tak Fukuta. Was probably made for a factory run of Frost or Parker that didn’t materialize for some reason. Fingers crossed that someone knows more.

I’m glad y’all knew about Tak F. I tried searching the web for Tak F, and what I found was “Take a Kid Fishing”!
