Remington "Baby Bullet" lockback question.

I recently came into possession of a Remington "Baby Bullet" lockback, R-1173L. In my "Remington Knives, Past & Present" book, they state that the knife had Delrin scales and the knife pictured has a lanyard hole. My knife has genuine bone scales (Yes, I'm quite sure it's bone) with very nice jigging....and no lanyard hole.

If this is an aftermarket conversion, it's some of the best work I've ever seen. It's impecable with absolutely dead nuts inletting and fitting of the bone scales to the bolsters.

Can anyone shed any light on what i have?

One of the blades should be dated, if remington circle stamp is was made in the 90's After their Delrin 80's thing they did a genuine bone thing in the 90's. All well made knives by Callimus I think ?? Im tired after work forgive me

The tang stamp reads" R1173L over 1984. On the other side it has the circle with "Remington UMC" in the center with "Made in USA" around the outside.

even better, 80's thing ..... sorry the 90's saw the dawn of the bone and sterling bullets you can see alot of examples on Ebay and get an idea of current values.

I like the jig on yours looks like a real nice one...that pattern happens to be my favorite.
