New knife book

Post by peanut740 »

New book just released "Old Knives XX,and More.Case & Case Related knives before 1920.A guide to Identification and Value" by or own Tom McCandless, aka olderdogs1.It is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Also directly from Tom for $30 shipped.Tom's been working on this project for quite some time. I haven't received mine yet,but knowing Tom it should be a must have for those of us interested in old Case and related tang stamps.
I'm sure it has many of Tom's knives he has posted in the Case thread.

Thanks for posting that link Mike. As Roger mentioned, I do have books available for $30 shipped from my personal inventory. PayPal or checks, money orders accepted.
I would like to thank Roger, aka Peanut740 for writing the foreword for my book. He did an excellent job.
Just PM me if you would like to order one of the books and I will get it right out to you. I appreciate all business and inquiries.

Tom, congratulations on publishing your book. ::clapping:: I ordered the Kindle version earlier this afternoon and read it. It was educational and nice to see so many pictures of beautiful old Case knives.

Do you have both hard cover and soft cover available?

Thanks Jerry,
Glad you liked it. I don’t have the hard copies yet but will soon. The hard copies are available on line though right now. If you want a hard copy I can be sure you get one. They are $40.00 as opposed to the $30.00 paperback version I have in stock at present. Just let me know and thanks for all that you contribute to AAPK. It is invaluable ::tu:: ::tu::

I got my "Old Knives,XX, And More " today. A great read with lots of good info about the tumultuous early days of the Case dynasty. By far the stars of the book are the great color photos of many of these old surviving knives. This will be a great reference for those who wish to dip their toes in that early Case pond.
Excellent job Tom! ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

After nine days, I finally received my copy of "Old Knives, XX, And More" from Amazon. Not available for 2 day "Prime" shipment. So it came UPS Pony Express.
Excellent book Tom, thank you for your research and putting a much needed Case missing link in my library. It sits proudly right next to "Steve Pfeiffer"s" Case Knives 2nd edition. ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

I ordered mine at the first of the week and it has been delivered. The problem is that I'm in the Ozarks, so I will be glad to read it when I get home next week.
