I believe that is called a fish knife. I may be wrong as I don't remember for sure, but it is a scarce pattern, whatever it is called.dweb1897 wrote:Keen Kutter in Yellow Celluloid....anybody have an idea what you'd call this patternKEEN KUTTER (1)r.jpg

I will get in line and compliment that old knife. I had to go back for a second look. Quiet unique.

How are those Primbles? I've been looking at getting what is basically a knockoff of the Utica Jumbo Trapper pattern because Utica discontinued the USA version a year or so ago.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
There doesn't seem to be a shortage of knives on the "Mail Call"! Always interesting to see.
I received these two today from dweb1897. The old PAL has full blades, a good shield but snap is missing, just as Doug described. The other knife appears to be Buck second, factory edges on all the blades but with a tang stamp removed, leaving only U.S.A. on the tang. Shield is apparently reversed. Not a bad job of removing the upper part of the stamp without buggering up the blade, a great EDC! Treefarmer

Quick Steel, that's a fine looking knife! You seem to like the Bulldogs!
Floyd, I've never used a blade like the center one on Quick Steel's pretty green Cooperhead. Is it sharpened like a regular blade? That would be a good working deer knife as you said. My old Queen #39 has a Milwaukee sawzall close by when we get down to bone cuttin' time.
