Very striking color. Maybe red with traces of orange. Or orange with traces of red. Or burnt red. I dunno but it is very fine. ::tu::

What they said!^^^ I suppose those handles make the little Sod Buster a bit slimmer than one with the traditional handles? ::hmm::
Great knife, Floyd. You better watch out, ol' Jerryd has a thing for orange colored knives. ::paranoid::

Jerry I will consider this one safe. Although I am a bit of a clutz and am bad about dropping things I still like the looks of bare heads. ::nod::

I love the look of the acre worth of bone on those soddie juniors.

But, I picked up a standard jr a few years ago, and the blade shape was not very useful to me.
It was soon put in the 'oh well, I tried' box .....

Thanks WillyC. ::nod::
Chris, I liked it for the bone. I doubt I'll ever use it. There are blade shapes I prefer and some I don't care for but usually the tool I use is the one I have in my hand. Thanks for your comments.
By the way I appreciated the pic of Philip and Miss Joy you posted the other day. Thanks. ::handshake::

I got this single blade trapper along with the sod buster listed above. I liked the bone and the file work. It has no model number on the blade I wonder if it started life as a 2 blade knife. The seller said he got it at a 'charity' sale. Slight blade play but not much. I think it is a 2012 year knife. Some patina on the blade but good snap. Thanks for looking.

Thank you Phil. The hafting is very fine. By this I mean the melding of the stag with the bolsters is almost imperceptible.

These I just got off eBay for $20 together. I know these two sheaths are pretty scarce. The Case one is for a Folding Hunter, I believe. I really needed that for the '65-65 6265SAB I inherited from my great-uncle. The current 6265 sheath, the "Large Job Case" is horrible. And the Kabar Marine Mate because it's interesting, and can carry two tools. At one point ( I don't know), Kabar sold a rigging knife or a fisherman's toothpick bundled with a Kabar-branded Duluth Handiboy with the sheath in what they called a "Marine Mate" set. I plan to fill it with the correct contents. I have never before seen the sheath for sale, with or without the contents.

A couple of my new ones, the Shapleigh is a really good knife with the etching still visible..the big 2 bladed Weck was a cutlery I wasn't familiar with, I actually thought it was a Schrade..it seems like alot of the full size knives with blades that are on each end and have seen some use will tend to get side to side play, but this one is probably one of the best that I've seen that locks solidly in place..after I looked at the spring I knew why, you be the judge of the spring..::tu:: ~Jon

Really appreciate all of these. The Case Boae has always interested me and I was able to get this one at a nice price. I need a proper sheath for it, any ideas out there?
The Winchester sports some nice stag, the Robt Klaas is all class and the Northfield is one of my favourite patterns.

This could be modded Northwoods style. Maybe.

No major finds lately, but I did finally get one of these little schrade stockmans in peachseed bone. They are hard to find. This one is in ok condition but it was not very much money so I'm happy.
