Mystery Knife Identification

Can anyone identify this knife? I got it off eBay in a junk lot. There are only a few letters visible on the master blade tang but the corrision has made them illegible. The reverse tang has a pattern number of 537. However, I'm guessing at the 7. It's a premium stock style with carbon steel blades and what appears to be jigged delrin scales. I know it can't be Imperial because they don't pattern stamp their blades. Any ideas? I can't find this knife anyway. I have attached a photo

I think Premium in Canada did a Stock, although I have an Italian one that just has Premium Stock Knife etched on the clip. It’s roughly 1940’s, but bone, I’m pretty sure.

I'm certainly no authority on Boker, but with slanted bolsters like that I would think it might be a Boker.

I didn't post the other side because it is trashed! Missing a bolster and shield with damaged scale. I know that makes it even harder to identify. I wish it at least had the shield.

Ok, but now we know that the shield was on the scale rather than the sort that is part of the metal side and pushes up through the material. I’m thinking of the side of a celluloid Richards.

That should rule out a lot of brands. I think this is going to be ID by attrition - easier to decide what it isn’t!

I believe that your knife may be a Schrade CutCo made for a another supplier such as a hardware company. It may have had Keen Kutter provenance. The pattern number on the tang would suggest that possibility. If it had been offered as a Schrade CutCo knife it would not have had a pattern number stamped on a tang, but would have had all blades stamped with their own stamp, which never changed from before 1920 until 1946. They did make knives for other suppliers and I have seen this type of tang stamping to reflect that possibility. The covers (cover?) is peachseed bone and I don't think it could have come from anywhere else than Schrade CutCo, or their descendant, Schrade Walden 1946-c.1961. Here is a catalog cut from page 48 of the reprint of their old catalog. The peachseed bone on your knife was late in their lineup, no earlier than say... 1935?

I think that's it! The bolsters, blade configuration, and serpentine body are an exact match. I will fabricate a new bolster and shield. Once I repair the scale on one side and clean it up I think I will have a nice EDC. I never give up on a good quality vintage knife. I had spent hours trying to identify this knife. I doubt it's a Schrade. The bolsters on the OP knife slant in different directions and on the Schrade knife shown the bolsters slant in the same direction. Primble and Boker stockman knives have bolsters that slant like the OP knife.
