Is it OK to sell Trail error knives?

I have posted before about this knife, It is very rare, according to the company, there were only about 20 made; I would like to sell it at a show, but I want to be honest, to say it may be a non collecting knife value, or what is the best way to describe it?

You may need to repost the pictures or post a link to the Topic in which you posted the pictures.
The only topic that comes up when I search using the keywords 'Trail' & 'Error' in the title is this topic here.
There is one other topic that comes up using the keywords 'Trial' & 'Error' in a topic title search is only one page long, it does not have a second page.

You can copy the web address and paste it in your post and we can get to it that way. But with the words given, I cannot find it using the search function, which is actually a pretty thorough search engine.

I think this is the one. The problem is no one can search your post because you spelled the original as Trial Knives and now it is Trail knives.

Already posted my thoughts about it on your previous thread. As for how to list it, do so honestly, telling what you know about it. A copy of the email you mention from the company will be important to include as validation of your description.

Rare does not necessarily mean valuable. Probably not what you want to hear, but IMHO a knife like that usually has no added value even if it is rare, unless you can find someone who is into collecting that series of knives. To anyone else it’s just another knife.

The Utica UT11131029: Classic Lockback Folder that is a current production to my eye looks just like your knife minus the duck and the misspelled tang stamp. The current one retails new for $21.95 and in my opinion unless it was a highly desired knife such as a GEC TC Barlow a misspelled tang stamp would not add any value and even then it may not ad value.

I agree with Jody. I was going to post that it was probably about a $20 knife but I have no vast knowledge of Utica or Kutmaster knives so I thought I would let someone else who knows them better do the posting. There have been a lot of knives very similar to that; a single blade, lock back, knives with stainless steel handles some with a picture engraved some without. There were a a number of them in the 80s and 90s and since then, and they usually don't get much about $20 even new. Probably the one that has held its value best is the Kershaw. Some of the American-made ones are difficult to even get $10 for them.

I have an old Ulster and the word knife in the tang stamp is spelled NKIFE, but that doesn't add any value to it.
I think it has two have some collectible value inherent in the knife itself before the misspelled tang stamp adds any value to it.

I have no idea as to the value of a mis-stamped coin, I don't collect coins, just knives!
