should be in the mail soon, also I heard this guy was arrested for automatic gun sales. He also won first prize in I think 2005 best damascus, he has also taught classes in this area too. anything else??

Here is an interesting link. At the very bottom of the artticle he says he is called a Bible banger which is OK with him. He uses Bible quotes on many of his mosaic blades.

I never saw a mosaic golf club until now, some interesting stuff on the site such as:

I think you need to find out more about that knife. No mention of an arrest, but looks like he wrote the site and it was updated 12/2007.

Find the Bible knives - some I saw were over $20,000.00!

Thanks for the info, I contacted him to ask for some kind of history on the knife. Ya I got a little carried away and the next thing I knew it was mine So I hope I made a good buy, after I get more info I will let you all know.

OK, just got the knife in today. It's BIG real Big, the blade work and file work are incredible the Ivory handles look to have come from the ocean and show signs of shrinkage (not to bad, only one side) but noticeable. The file worked piece of metal that sticks up in the back locks the blade upon opening and sits flush, to release the blade you press it again to unlock the blade. File work has been done to all liners, back springs inside and out. Well still no reply yet I would like to some how get an estimate on it’s value ?!?!?

Well scratch that I just called Mr Rybar he will get me some info on the knife and he said from our phone conversation that the knife is at least 15 years old. more too come ............

Well I'll tell ya this much when I get the E-mail back from Mr. Rybar I might cry or jump for joy. Yes I will post the info I get ... I'm thinking positive I just can't see how you can make something like this, I was very excited that he took my call and he was so helpful.

HE told me he has to look at the pictures I sent him, "I make alot of Knives" ...lol figured that one $5,000.00 I can always hope.

Alright Ray called me back after he looked at the pictures I sent him. Here are some quick facts he gave me..

-Age; 20 to 25 years old
-Type of knife; Sheffield and German mix
-What's the hole for in the top? Their was once a silver ring in their that was used to release the lock (not really needed but some European Knives used these rings to assist in closing knives with powerful locks)
-Ray was not recognized as a master Blade smith until 2001 this knife was made well before his Journeyman knife days.
- Handles are Russian Ivory, Mammoth
- Liners are possible silver he was saying that real silver was not as expensive as it is now and he did use it for his knives.
- He makes his own Steel, cuts his own Ivory scales, and he did explain how he does the etching and all is done by hand (to much info on that to type)
- Next Monday he said he would send me an E-mail with it all in Black and White or at least some high points.
- value he would , could not put an exact amount on it. His pre Journeyman’s knives are hard to come by and it would be in the thousands.
