Sometimes the little boy in me comes out. I don't know how to explain one's 2nd childhood when you never got over the first. A Puma fish knife that doubles as a scale. Fish have scales and in this case I guess fish knives do too.

Floyd, I'm with ya. I've had a Jones for one of those Puma fish knives since the first time I saw one. I just can't bring myself to spend the kind of money they're asking for them.

Old neighbor of mine is regularly showing off his tactical/cigarette lighter type knives to me and asking me what I like to carry. Did some favors for him so he wanted to show me he appreciated it. I showed him my fare. So he dug this out of his old box and sent me home with it. Nice guy. Nice knife. Very solid lock up and if I didn't know better I would say it was some Japanese Seki made piece. But nope, just a plain old Portland, OR Gerber. Nice bolsters embellishment though. Sweeeeeeet, smooth action and bank vault lock up. Good antler.

Thanks Jerry, happened on it with 3 minutes left and got it for $31. Not in perfect shape but just too appealing ::handshake::
RR three great ones but smooth bone speaks to me most. Great pick ups. ::tu::
Scott is that Western a 72 clone? Also never bad to pick up a GEC and the Gerber fits your needs. Wasn't Mike looking for those Copenhagen knives? ::nod:: ::nod::
I like that Copperhead Ken. ::nod:: ::tu::
Wow Iman, that looks like a lot of favors to me. That is a classy knife. ::nod:: ::tu:: ::nod::

When all is said and done I think the smooth antique bone Barlow is going to be the runaway favorite of 2019. ::tu::

Thanks Ken, that's some pretty high praise. The neighbor will appreciate that. Might want it back too if he finds that out.

This one showed up a few days late, a 1958-'60 Queen English Jack. It is a pattern #28, 4.5" long, half stops, imitation Winterbottom handles and it has been well used. :( Not completely used up, still a prospective EDC if you like old Queens.

A good day for the mail. First a red bone Solingen Boker Stockman. Was drawn to it by the coloring. I only have a few German Bokers but their quality has been uniformly good and expect I will be acquiring more.
