Anyone have any Chris Reeve knives, specifically the small Sebenza model? For a production made knife they are pricey but look to be well made.

Well I only have one. I am not sure if this is one of the small Sebenza models.

Like you said "they are pricey but look to be well made."

I have watched them now for about 2 years and do not go down in price. His wife must be doing something right....

It was after getting this one that I started buying the Kershaw's and fell in love with the 1660 Rainbows due to price...

Ken, That's a good looking knife. How do you like the way it's made and action while opening and closing?

The reputation they have is well founded. I have one, and it is very well made! Not as flashy as Ken's though!!

If I'm not mistaken, he switched to BG42 from ATS-34, a Hitatchi Japan steel for the Sebenza. I think we will be seeing the small custom makers moving to BG42, just a better steel, IMO.

I would like to see Queen and other US makers stop using ATS-34 and use American steels such as 154CM which is the same thing as ATS 34 made by Crucible, HERE in the USA.

Well Jim to be completely honest with you I have not even cut a piece of paper with her. I wash my hands before I even touch her.
Then its's just to Ren-Wax her.

She is a piece of ART for sure and very well built. By that I mean to open and close her. As far as the steel holding up I have no Idea. So she stays in my save.

Ken is yours BG-42, or ATS-34?
You can see from the COA mine is BG-42.

i have a small regular, SV30 for the blade
nice knive, robust and easy to dismantle for maintenance
it just need running for smooth opening and closing
