I bought the Gerber in 1975. The Camillus was made in the mid-1990s.

Hey Quick, is that buffalo horn? Good looking handle. And I love the Orvet stamp/etch. Someday I hope to get one of those on a knife.Quick Steel wrote:P1020430.JPG
Back to the WW2 era today. Stuck in the past, can't get enough.

Iman, Truth be told, having had this for some years and lacking my records I am no longer sure. It looks like buffalo horn but I have an idea it is otherwise. I am hoping Dale may stop by and straighten me out.

Fantastic knives all!
For the last few days I cared thr 1974 Loomfixer. Yesterday and today the redone 4 line Camillus Cattle knife. Two of my favorites.

Can't go wrong there. A classic Case look, chestnut bone. Is the blade CV or Tru-Sharp?sgilliatt wrote:Chestnut Bone Mini Copperlock.
I always love to see that jack. I have a cow knife with the same bone and shield that has a horribly loose master blade (almost like the pivot hole was bored out or overworn). I am thinking of trying to find a replacement blade and asking one of our fine AAPK knife artisans to make it right again. It's too pretty to sit on a drawer unused.Ivoryman wrote:Back to the WW2 era today. Stuck in the past, can't get enough.
Today's totes for me:

Everything's better with a Barlow

Several nice knives, old and new, that you all are pocketing.
Got a Copperlock myself in the mail a day ago and carried it along with another single blade, an ebony handled S&M.

Nice pairing David, I think if I had that cattle knife it would find its way into my pocket quite often.

Thank you, sir. I like yours as well. I’ve really come to like them. Mainly because they’re so thin.sunknife wrote:Man I like the looks of that chestnut bone Copperlock sqilliatt, very attractive knife.sgilliatt wrote:Chestnut Bone Mini Copperlock.
