That is a beautiful piece of work.
How big is it?
Steve it is more beautiful in person. It is about 6 1/2 in long and 2 1/2 tall. And it is gorgeous. Jim does fabulous work. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::nod::

Ohhh, nice! I wouldn’t ‘duck’ a bomb like that! ;)
That’s both beautiful and thoughtful.

Bombs away from Bulgaria!
After the POS roundtable member Eustace decided to bomb the Texas panhandle.
IMG_20190323_174124227.jpg
From the top down - a 1913 Bulgarian silver 1Lev coin for my sharpening table, a P Denev 'tourist' knife, an unmarked knife that I don't know what to call (seen similar but can't remember what they are), and a Herder locking sod buster.
IMG_20190323_173812766.jpg
The Denev has the wickedest punch blade it is a needle pointed solid chunk of steel and has beautiful gray celluloid or acrylic handles. The middle is a friction folder with some type of horn handle, the dots are not painted they're metal,very cool. I've heard that the Herder's had chunky handles but I didn't know they were that thick, it is a solid handful.

Prehaps the first tang stamp picture of a P Denev knife on AAPK. I love them all but it's really cool to have a Bulgarian knife in my collection now.

Thank you Eustace.

OC all the family was over for lunch the other day and nothing but compliments and interest in the little mallard. The only two things I am allowed in our china cabinet is a knife my sweet wife bought for me and that little duck. Thanks again. ::handshake::

Trace, this knife is also Bulgarian. The model has been produced by several generations of craftsmen in a small village Kostenets. Make them three sizes with dark handles made of buffalo or light rams horn. The last master who made them died last year.

Thank you for the information, I wasn't sure how to classify that one it is more impressive in person than my cruddy pictures make it look.

Thank you Eustace.
Love the Cyrillic stamp from Eustace. Very cool, never seen that one before. Cool knives all around from an even cooler Eastern Block Bomb.

I got bombed from Texas today!
Strolled down to the mail box this afternoon and found an interesting little mail pouch from Smithville, TX. ::shrug:: That didn't ring any bells and the name with the return address wasn't familiar. Puzzled, I opened the package and found an small Queen 3 blade Stockman, well used, but a keeper and an inspirational card enclosed! My limited research shows 3 different pattern numbers for a 3 1/4" Queen Stockman, 16, 26 and 57. ::hmm:: Back in the house, I opened up the AAPK forum and noticed a PM from dogleg, confessing his guilt in the bombing! He's a sneaky rascal, neither his name or address. ::sneaky::
Little Queen stockman w/card that asks, Thirsty?

Well worn blades, opened and the answer on the reverse of the card how to stop thirst!

Thanks again, Floyd! ::handshake::

The central Texas bomber, aka Ralph Alsip, aka Jerry, dropped this nice rough black Tested 06267 on me. Said he knew I had several, but thought I needed one to carry. Who am I to argue with such wisdom? ::nod::

A little Quick Release oil and it’s in my pocket right now. Gonna give it a little time on the whetstone - it’ll make a perfect Sunday carry!

Thanks Jerry! ::ds::

I believe this might qualify as a ICBM attack from Hawaii. I was bombed from a spot 4400 miles away by QTCut5 today! ::uc::
Knifers, I've been promoted from a bottom feeder to an S&M owner! I love my old used Queens and "Q" sent me a wonderful Schatt & Morgan mini-trapper to raise my "pay grade"! ::ds::

Philip, that Q never messes with toe poppers but it is always a block buster. That is both beautiful and a quality made knife. That makes me excited for you. Q did good. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu:: ::tu::
