Im looking for a little information

I found this knife while doing an eviction for a friend. Its stamped valor and what like 10997(difficult to make out due to the rust.) japan. Any info would be great!

I have no clue...but it kind of looks like it could be a knock-off of the pilot survival knives of the Viet Nam era. More knowledgeable people should be around!

Valor Corporation was a Miami Florida Based Company that had Knives Manufactured out of Seki Japan back in the 1970's through the eighties maybe even later not sure on the length of the Company - They made a bunch of knockoffs when it came to the Popular Camillus KA-BAR Kinfolks Robeson etc. Mark 2's the Popular 6" and 5" Camillus Jet Pilot Knives that Served in the Vietnam War since the mid 1960's - They also made several other Style Knives from Daggers to Folding Knives

I found this information with a Google Search - And up until 10 Minutes ago I knew Nothing about them or the Company - That's Google for You

Valor also had some knives made in USA. Although we collectors do not place much value on collecting the Valor brand, the knives they had made are decent quality and were good value for the money. Valor did not buy the cheapest knives that were being made in Japan at the time. They imported knives that were not the best of Seki, but better than the average i.e. they are actually pretty good knives.

Ditto on that. They did make some very nice knives. I’ve owned some and I would put them up against any C.I., Parker or Frost knife from that era.
