Tortoise shell old Winchester warncliff 2081

I can't seem to find this knife in any of my books. Can someone with more reference books help to see if it's a real original Winchester? Thanks, Ben

Might be missing a Digit - 2088 Wharncliffe Pen - 3" 3/8

2088 is what Winchester calls a Carbo Pattern, what ever that is. It has tipped bolsters and a Spear main blade.
All of Winchesters numbers are four digits that I find in this book that I am having less confidence in each time I use it.
They show six knives for examples of the Wharncliffe pattern.

Pretty knife!! All my original Winchesters have four digits. But I don't know alot about them other than I like them for some reason. Yours is very nice!!

Only Winchester data I have is from Houston T. Price 13TH edition has Just a Couple with the 208"X" and being a Wharncliffe one is the 2088 Pattern Number stating its a Wharncliffe Pen and should measure 3" 3/8 and the other being a Wharncliffe too, although it is a 2090 and clearly your knife is a Wharncliffe there is no mistaking the 9 for a 8 although the 2090 was a 3" Wharncliffe, there is other knives in the 208 Sequence but they are Doglegs, Jacks, and Sleeve-boards and even an Office Knife and One Teardrop being the 2094.....So this has got to be the 2088 Wharncliffe if the 2081 had a Spear Blade plus Bolsters - As for the 2081 in the Photo shared above this Pattern wasn't even listed in my Guide by Houston - Strange one.....it is Clearly a Wharncliffe Blade - as for the Bolsters - I could use some more books - I only own three - Houston / Parker and Voyles / Levines - One day I am going to get me a Sargent's - Not sure if we really helped much but maybe someone else out there with a little bit more knowledge than what I have at my disposal will come along and be able to help a bit better - MMK - Best of Luck on the Research
