Beauty KSlinger, like that blonde micarta. It's pretty. And classy rounded. Nothing wrong with the looks of that.
Bomba, you nailed it on weight and size. I like the blades. If they were on a smaller frame it would be over.

Another favorite Stockman. It, too, has a pen rather than a spey .

What handle material is on that RR Quick Steel? I don't have any sodbuster type patterns in my collection and have spied a few of the Rough Ryders online as a possible first introduction for myself.

My weekend pairings below.
Saturday was the #72 lock back along with a rough rider black pearl handled small whittler that has really smooth blade action without half-stops and excellent snap.
Today it's the #72 again in the back pocket paired with a solingen stag pen knife for the watch pocket.
By the way a lot of nice knives that you guys are carrying. ::tu::

sunknife, I cannot definitively identify the handle material. It is listed as synthetic. It is quite hard and feels good in my hand. I believe it will prove to be quite rugged tho I have not given it a lot of use. It came with a better than average sharp edge.

Colonel26, IMO Rugers are a superb value and superbly reliable as well. There are only a couple of semi-autos I would willingly carry for self-defense and Ruger is one those.

Thanks guys. I’ve been really impressed with the Ruger 1911. Mine is the commander size. Dead on reliable. No frills that aren’t needed, all the enhancements that are helpful for a good price. I have a Kimber Officer size and I wouldn’t trade the Ruger 1911 for another Kimber at all.

You ever used this one? Those look like perfect, straight edges.
What are the scales? They have a strange transparent looking sheen in the picture. Nice! ::nod::

If that has a usa on the stamp it's a 1950's knife. If it's just schrade walden ny with no USA then its late 1940's to early 50's. The 890 is one of my favorite patterns.
