Jporter, love the goodie box shot, the Ulster, and the Electric Cut Co, and the old bones are beauties.

Is that Hawbaker a modded knife or did it come like that?
KnifeSlinger#81 wrote:The 63090 is a good pattern from case, hardly any jr cattle knives made anymore.
Seeing as it's my first 090 frame, I was a little surprised at how small it was. It's a mighty little knife, regardless of size, although I do wish the sheepsfoot were a bit broader. I also wish Case would put more swedging on its master clip blades - that was a welcome surprise on this knife, one I generally see only on the TB models, the big gunstocks, or the little butterbeans these days.

Wish I'd known about that SFO, I would have made every effort to get one. Love the coloration of that smooth bone. ::tu::

I'm still using my 66 regularly and also trying this little kershaw that I got in the POS exchange. It's a fun beater for the moment.

Got this A.G. Russell pinched bolster peanut for Christmas and decided to carry it instead of putting it in a display case. Handles are Mammoth Ivory. It’s an incredible little knife. Sharp as a scalpel. The Wharncliffe blade is as sharp as a needle on the point. I included a picture of the run up on the back where the blade and backspring meet. These Japanese knives have the best fit and finish of any knife made, right up there with custom knives for 4 to 5 times the price.
If you have thought about getting one of these in the past, I would recommend getting one.

Paul, They aren’t cheap but I can tell you they are worth every penny. I don’t have anything close to this in my collection, except Moki’s, but those aren’t 2 blades and I like this little secondary blade, it’s very handy, especially for cutting off callouses from my fingers and hands. You can cut so precisely with this, it’s amazing.

Thanks Bomba, like you I missed the drop too. About a month later I just happened to be checking out other sold out stuff at Gunstock Jacks, and this came up, only one, someone returned it, just lucky timing. I jumped. Even when I try to keep up on SFOs when they drop, or if I'm right on it even like Northwoods, that doesn't mean I'll get one. Mostly it's just luck when I happen to be checking some dealer. Some put up one or two here or there and you can't wait and think about it, they sell in minutes so you have to pounce or get left in the dust. Don't hesistate I was told decades ago. Such is life for popular GEC now. Gone are the days when they sat around for weeks or months at the dealers and you could choose carefully and go back and forth. Which is why I was surprised to see one at all and jumped immediately. Who knows, might have one come up sometime, happy hunting. I liked it so much I hunted for another 14.

Fabulous ivory beauty SSK. Congrats. Love the feel of ivory, and the look, and the texture, warmth. Mmmmmmmnnnnnnnn.

I'm trying out a new combo today. Victorinox Super Tinker and a Cold Steel Lucky. So far, so good.

Railsplitter, First time I have seen the CS Lucky. Somehow have overlooked it in their catalogs. Neat looking knife.

SSK, your AGR is a beauty. A typical AGR-Japanese product, i.e. flawless.

Thanks Quick Steel. The Lucky is a little different. It comes with a pocket clip which I removed because the knife is only about 3 1/4 inches closed and it fits great in my watch pocket. No need for a clip but I can see how it might be useful to some folks.

I thought I might like having a serrated blade handy so I'm giving it a trial run.

Years ago I had occasion to cut up a lot of heavy wet cardboard. I had a Spyderco Police model with serrations and nothing zipped thru the cardboard like it. I understand that some people do not favor serrations and normally I too prefer a smooth edge. But for certain textures and materials they are just the ticket.

Another favorite Canoe. It probably dates to the late '70s or early 80's. The toothpick has the DFC stamp so it's probably 2012 to 2018.
