I picked up a trapper today I'm not sure about. Most all the ones I've seen have spey blades but this one looks a little diffrent but it also doesnt look altered. The handles are shrinking like the older yellow handles sometimes do. I believe it's a 65-69

Looks like it sat on a dashboard under the hot sun for a few years.
That secondary blade is interesting.

Yea it got cooked for sure. I've tried rehandling a an barehead trapper parker and did an ok job I guess. But it was in worse shape handle wise than this one and probably alot easier, since it didnt have a shield and I didnt put any new pins in it since I didnt pull it apart. I might try to to handle this one or I might just carry it. I really like carbon steel case knives to carry and dont have much in this one.Steve Warden wrote:Looks like it sat on a dashboard under the hot sun for a few years.

I finally found a 6207W in Antique Amber. I've been looking for one for quite awhile to pair up with my Antique Amber 6107W.

I'm not new to collecting and heres part of my knife collection. Excuse the wrong brand knives and display case in the picture. Does anybody think the back blade on that trapper is original or is something somebody did. Now that I'm looking into it I'm going with it being modified.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
I remember reading somewhere who the "Lisa S..." person is, but like so many bits of trivia, it didn't stick in my long term memory bank. If the last name were legible, I would just Google it since Google has now officially taken over all storage responsibilities of the many bits of trivia my brain used to handle with relative ease. Now, however, I fear my overloaded brain has exceeded its maximum storage capacity. And forget about trying to actually recall anything, I suffer from acute, advanced and progressive CRS (Can't Remember S**t) disease (for which, ironically, I blame Google).Lansky1 wrote:Thats a classic combo you have there Q - I've never seen a 6207W with Tony's signature etch - pretty coolWhats the second signature ?
BTW...I actually have two 107Ws that pair up with my new 6207W:
This one has the same Antique Amber Bone:
But this one has the same Badge Shield:
I'll let you decide which pair you think makes the better match; because as far as I'm concerned, the three of them all together make a perfect menage a trois.

Thank you doglegg!! Hard to believe it's a 20 year old knife. He was firm on his price. I have some larger Stockman but wanted one a little smaller. It was 45 dollars but I couldn't pass it by. Appreciate your nice comments!doglegg wrote:You did good Woodwalker. Clean knife.

I am not a big stockman fan, I prefer the smaller stockmans as well. And $45 doesn't seem out of line for it. Great pick up.woodwalker wrote:Thank you doglegg!! John, that's a Yachtsman. The marlin spike locks on a riggers knife. She sure is a fine looking example.JohnR wrote:Added a nice 10 dot sailors rigging knife in mint condition.
