Something You Don't See Every Day

Post by orvet »

I have bought hundreds of Schrade knives through eBay, but this is the first one I have ever seen listed that is coming from India back to the United States.
Obviously there are at least a few things wrong with this listing;
1 – The seller thinks this knife is stainless steel. ::rotflol::
2 – The seller seems to be under the impression that this is acceptable condition for the knife, as he lists it, "Wears due to age and use." ::shrug::
3 – The seller seems to be under the delusion that this knife is worth the price is asking, despite the blades having the appearance of spending the last five years in saltwater! ::teary_eyes::

I believe it is a legitimate older Schrade, not a Schrade Walden as is listed, but a real product of the Schrade factory in Ellenville, New York. Unfortunately, it is not had optimal storage in his lifetime!

I was looking at Ebay and rubbed a big bald spot on top of my head after reading about this knife. Super rare and the seller has only heard about this knife but never seen one before. How lucky is he to have stumbled upon it. ::ds:: ::groove:: beautiful cracked ice handles. If only I had the $$$$

$50 is a decent price for a minty 881, but that one is pretty rough.

There is a lot of surface rust much of which could be buffed off :shock: Otherwise it looks to have full blades, not used and clip still has the original tip. To me "rough shape" means blades used, tipped, chips out of edge, etc.

Roland if you zoom in close you can see that the blades are deeply pitted, and the edges are so pitted they are chipped out.
