scratch removal

i recently bought an older kissing crane fixed blade knife that looks mint except for just a couple light scratches near the top of the blade from what looks like to me someone trying to sharpen the knife would like some advice on how i can remove thise scratches without getting myself into more work than my capability will allow and it also has some etching on one side and i dont wanna mess that up so any infonwoukd he appreciated

Here’s a link to a post by one of the knife cleaning/polishing pros - people send him their knifes to be restored, for a fee of course. viewtopic.php?f=38&t=47909 All parts of this post won’t be applicable to your knife but you should be able to pick out the parts you can use in your case. And stay away from the etch!

i appreciate the reply im not good with computers or the internet fir that manner ive been around knives my whole life but im new to alot of things so any help is welcome so i should jus let the scratches not bother me they are only a couple minor ones at the top i think i can polish it really good and that might be good enough to satisfy my brain into letting me have peace about it but im ginna watch the link based on past experiences and the etch is the reason i ask for help the knife is a KC rob klaas 715 with the whitetail and cranes solingen germany etch i do NOT wanna mess that up

thanks ken thats what i needed i had already tried a. magic eraser and im out of polish but ill remedy that soon and try those instructions also my name is joe i filled out the profile section on here but cuz of my work schedule im only home 8 days a month which i hate i spend the rest of my time when im not on a train in Charlottesville VA and i was wondering if anybody on here has been to the Harrisonburg knifeshow im gonna be close by there that weekend in april and ive never been to just a knifeshow ive bought some good knives at gunshows but if someone could ket me know how that show is would be appreciated im probably gonna go anyway simply because i have never been and its better than sittin in a hotel room
