Excellent choice Quick Steel. I've admired those A.G. Texas Rangers many times on their website.
By coincidence I 'm been carrying a A.G. Russell as well since it arrived in Monday's mail. Sowbelly with a big ole super sharp clip blade, man I'm liking this one so far.

sunknife I've got that same knife in cocobolo. I just added this A.G.Russell lockback to my EDC rotation. I'm really liking it a lot.

Nice looking lockback Phil. I find bright covers really practical. The most used knife in this house is a bright orange Case Copperhead. It gets moved all over but can be found instantly.

I would've jumped on a cocobolo version if they had one when I ordered mine Phil. The lockback hunter you got is nice also. I see they are out of those in the yellow delrin now, you may have got the last one. The yellow sowbelly clip that I just received is now shown as out of stock/dicontinued on their site so I may have scored the last of that one as well. I'm pondering getting another AG knife before they are all gone, as Quick Steel said the quality is impressive.

Garddogg like your 72!! Had a Twitch II but gifted it to my neighbor who gifted me a Japanese Arasaka Bayonet!! I miss that little Twitch but am happy my neighbor likes it! My neighbor likes it so much he bought his father one. Makes me feel good I made him happy and I like the bayonet as well!!

Doggleg I am new to 72's but I love mine!! It is the perfect carry in my opinion and I can see the fascination with them!! You picked the perfect knife to carry and I would say you have found your knife!! Nothing wrong with that at all!!!

spent alot of time. cleaning it up. reprofileing the blades. and fitting burr walnut covers.

Re: AGR "Texas Ranger" folding knives: i am a bit late as one of these was shown on previous page. I have all 8 ? of these knives, new one every year for 8 yrs i think. Big knives but made so precisely you will be amazed. If any of these are still available buy yourself at least 1. You will not regret it. I have not used any of them but all have super fine blade grinds, like CNC/laser robot perfect, and shaving sharp edges. My bet is: outstanding tough user.
These are the best of any AGR knife i have owned which is quite a few. Well, the AGR's made by Moki are about as good for tight fit and complete finish.
