I have an older,(20 yr) Schrade lockback that doesn't lock back anymore. It's a U.S. made knife, and I would like to have it repaired. Can anybody recommend a reputable service?

Muskrat Man has done 2 repairs for me. A Schrade 125ot and a Schrade LB7. He does great work. I would not hesitate to send him your knife.

Can't say Muskrat Man has done any work for me, but I don't recall hearing a negative word about him or his work.

have a go yourself, it is very rewarding to fix a knife.
start with $1 junk store finds.
you will be surprised. how quick you will learn. after taking a few apart. and fixing them.
each one will be better than the last.
you only need fairly simple tools.

There’s a knife repair forum here viewforum.php?f=37. There you’ll find posts with tips about repairing and restoring knives, and the names of members that do that sort of work if you don’t want attempt doing it yourself. The aforementioned muskrat man is an authorized Schrade repairman, and you’ll find posts by him and other competent knife mechanics in that forum. But be aware that most of these guys have a backlog of work (for good reason - they’re good at it!) so if you go that route be prepared to wait.

Ten thumbs up for Muskrat Man. A while back he refurbished a Case Classic 71098 that I wrote here about, celluloid, that was virtually destroyed by outgassing. Put some new maroon micarta scales on it for me, cleaned, adjusted, full blade polish - ( had deeply pitted rust from outgassing). When it came back I was more than pleased with it. The fit and finish and finish are what I would expect in a high-end custom knife. Showed it to a few other knife guys and they were all really impressed. Can't say enough good about his work. I have assigned this knife duty as my 'take along steak knife' and it's getting a nice patina from some good sirloins and a couple porterhouses. I really like that he initialed inside the liners. Please excuse the photo quality - this knife looks ten times better than what you see. Scales are maroon - they seem black here. Great job by Muskratman. Sorry, no 'before' pictures.
