Ludicrous Listing

Post by Paladin »

I have to call horse pucky on this listing. It is so full of that stuff it is just ludicrous. I can never get photos from the bay to load so maybe someone can help out on that.
Here is the text of the listing, which is described in the title as "UNUSED NICE", "This is a pre-owned Vintage Rare Carl Schlieper Solingen 3 blade knife it does need repair but is very collectable and has lifetime warranty on these knives,it can be sent in for repair or replacement, please view photos for details, item will ship to lower 48 any bidders outside will be required to pay additional costs thanks." I wrote the seller and asked him if he, or she, was sure about that. No response yet.

Reckon how it got damaged if it is unused? Hmmmmm

Unused, the last 25 years, it sat in a tackle box.

Sellers have been known to post the incorrect photos to an auction.

I have done just that. I wondered if that might be the case (pardon the pun) here. The message I sent was worded such that the seller could make a correction without too much of a red face.
No return message at this time.

My goodness, a knife even I wouldn’t buy! ::shrug::
I have no idea offhand how rare that is. I’m guessing not very. That said, if you really need something to complete a set, you just might cough up for that...um...specimen. As an example, I have a couple of records in distressing condition, but they fill the hole. I’ll replace them as I find better copies.
OTOH, sixty bucks? American?!
Hahahahaha!

Amen, girl. I stopped short of telling him what a horrible knife it is. He'll just have to learn that for himself. I love Eye Brands but I wouldn't give $6 for that one, much less $60.
