I saw an 1800's Cattaraugus Congress in mint condition for around $350. I definitely thought about it, but Tim may have a folder made for me around March, and I have to save my knife money. They really made them right back then. Who made that folder of Yours?

Kind of held off posting here because I really can't remember when I purchase many of my knives.If I had to pick one I guess it would be this Al Mar folder. I had been looking at it for a long time and the vendor didn't want to come down on the price(he was asking $200). He finally sold his vendor space and all his stock to someone who immediately cut the prices on everything in half. I finally negotiated it down to $70 which I thought was about right. Not mint but in nice shape. Makes a great carry knife too.

Hands down, the knife that Tim Withers of Stockton, Ca made for me. It's one of his versions of the Loveless Chute Knife with Interior Mammoth Ivory scales.Tim has mad skills as a knifemaker. His soldering work on this piece is so well done it looks as if it's one piece of steel. It's made of ATS-34 steel. His polishing is top knotch too. image.jpegimage.jpeg

Here are two Loveless design knives that I have. Master Seizo Imai made this before his death in 2014. I would have chosen these as my favorite but I didnt’ buy them this year.

Thanks Wally. I think that Bob Loveless designs are timeless classics. You can almost always pick them out of the crowd when you see one. Imai did a masterful job on these. Those blades are a thing of beauty, glad you like them.
