Re: Hammer brand knives
I like the hammer brand knives that were made by imperial because they can be picked up cheaply and have good thinly ground blades, really a good value, back then and now. Though decent knives they are a far cry from the real hammer brand which was a premium line of new york knife co. I haven't acquired a true nyk co hammer brand knife.

Most of these are in the collectible category rather than the carriable category.

Olde Cutler I have a couple of those to, today I carried a stockman, all of mine are in good to great shape for their age and not a lot of money.

You can't beat these knives for EDC. Love the looks of these knives too! I have a Barlow that I carry from time to time. But I got lucky several years ago and found a point of sale display. I mounted the display in a glass front case and display it the wall in my living room! Somewhere I have NYK Hammer Brand knives somewhere. I have a switch blade too, just need to find it!

Re: Hammer brand knives
I have always like the Hammer Brand hammer forged look that Imperial offered - never seen the entire display before - that is very cool. I just saw one of those hammer forged Barlows for sale in the AAPK store. They also offered that forged style blade in a 4" Bicentennial Stockman and a series of the US Armed Forces branches in the mid 1970's - I've got two of them. OH
