Jos. Rodgers Whittler.
Here is a knife that i think is quite rare: 3 1/4" Jos. Rodgers His Majesty Swell Center Congress Whittler. In LG4, pg 253, Bernard says "They are lightweight premium quality knives, and every one of the few i have seen had a manicure blade.

Gorgeous little knife KJ!! Lee, most congress whittlers will have sheepsfoot main blades, and that is a swell center congress.

Roland, That is a really nice whittler. Unique without a file, a true whittler. Cutlers To His Majesty .... with England stamp vintage 1910 to 1952. I think the earlier part of that period. Thanks for sharing, Barry

Pretty cool that most have a sheep foot master Gene - I haven’t seen many of that whittler knife pattern .. though as you allude to sheeps foot master blades in a congress are common so makes sense..

Lee, if you look in Levine's Guide, pg 253 you will see a few Swell Center Congress whittlers and can see all have a slender sheepsfoot master blade.
I found this in with a group of pearl senators. I need to look through the rest of my pearl pen knives to see if i have anymore of this pattern.

No sheepsfoot and sporting a manicure blade.
And it has that fashionable belted shield.

NICE knives gentlemen!
Here's a H. Boker & Co's Improved Cutlery version of that pattern with a manicure blade.
A pocket knife is still an intimate personal possession of the individual who carries it and consequently deserves the best of materials, finish and workmanship in its production. (Quoted from Boker's 1928 cutlery catalog).

Re: Jos. Rodgers Whittler.
Nice Boker knife Roger
... looks like a wharncliffe master blade too
... Joe’s knife had a spear blade as a master - in Levine’s there was also a congress whittler with a spear so guess a sheep foot master doesn’t define or there are no doubt exceptions to what the master blade can be... the handle frame no doubt is similar among all...
