I've never had an Ebony Wood handled knife and I can say one thing for sure, I like them. After putting some Ren Wax on this knife, I couldn't put it down. It was just silky smooth feeling and the contrast between the ebony wood and the nickel silver is stunning. It also has nickel silver pins.

Yes, it's all in the sanding - understanding the grain. Raise it near the end repeatedly and all you need is wax (I use carnuba - sometimes from the automotive section). This is what hand sanding does for a handle and same for the blade. Get them done right - ALWAYS worth the time! You always know if you nailed it.

YES, I do use automotive waxes on a wheel Surprising what will work if you understand the chemicals/reaction.

I've been wondering about those Queen City Classics. Kind of pricey, but worth it I take it?

Regardless that's a stunning knife. Something about black handles and nickel bolsters. Kind of like your knife is wearing a tuxedo.

I'm very impressed with these knives, they seem to not cut corners on the production. This July I plan on stopping by the Queen factory and checkin it out
