Congress help.

Post by ludwig26 »

Four blade congress. About 4 1/16". Looks like Rogers bone to me. Nice construction with snappy blades and pinned shield. No markings at all. Anybody got a clue.
Thanks for looking

No clue but looks like a good EDC.

Looks like it might have some Boker somewhere in it's ancestry.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

I'm no expert on the congress pattern nor on Boker, but I am thinking along the same lines as Wayne here. ::shrug::

Boker did make a couple of knives that looked very similar.
Patterns 5973 and 5974 were very close. Boker used a shield just like that from the 1800s up until 1954.
It's a possibility. Here's a 5974 from the 1970s. You will see some similarities, but your has two sheep foot blades, while the 5974 Boker has a sheep foot and a tobacco blade. Pattern 5973 has two sheep foot blades like yours, but has rat tail bolsters.
