CCC & Bros.?

I have had the below 2½" Pearl handled Cigar Pen knife for quite some time. The small blade has a Half-Stop. Steel liners.
It appears to have European characteristics. Perhaps German or English. With no Country of originality stamping, I assume it is prior to the 1891 U. S. Tariff Act?
To the best of my observation, it appears to have the marking: CCC & Bros. No reference to this name in any of my books.
Any AAPK member ever seen this marking?

Could that be "COOK / BROS."

Stamp might have been poorly struck and I can see a partial "K" as the fourth letter.
