More amateur leather work by me

Found some thick leather and made this pocket sheath for my small, 5.5" LT Wright fixed blade. Stitched with some waxed green bow string I had laying around. Crude attempt to add a little design/insignia with a wood burner, I kinda messed it up with that. The sheath works well in front or back pocket and knife fits snuggly. Fun project and I feel I could improve on my next attempt as I get a bit more experienced at this type of thing.

You call that amateur--that's a professional grade job.

I tried making a couple sheaths (Leatherman and fixed blade)out of those Hobby Lobby kits and both ended up being a mess (stitching started coming back out after use)--now that's amateur.

Great job. I think that the stitching is awesome. You have a great "finish" eye. It's like leaving th reveal betwenn a door jamb and the edge of the casing. It' either the same all the way around, or it looks imperfect.
Your work looks perfect to me.
