Re: Marbles
You got a good looking one there Ken. Beautiful stock and spacers. I like the shape of the blade.

Re: Marbles
Looks like a USA made one in the late 1980's or early 1990's. Nice knife!

Re: Marbles
That one is 100% made in Pakistan. To my knowledge Marbles never made any USA made damascus knives. Any Marbles knife you see with a damascus blade is pakistan.

Re: Marbles
If it isn't stamped MARBLES, Gladstone, MICH U.S.A. it is made overseas. However, that's a great looking knife and would probably do an excellent job.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Ditto what 1967redrider said. Without the Michigan tang stamp you have a Pacific Rim Marbles.

Re: Marbles
Marble's stamped their knives just "Marble's" with their Banner stamp from 2002-2005-6
and them were USA made.
2005-6 to 2009 when they closed they added USA to it. Easy to tell the 2002-2005 stamp tho.
1998-2001 they were stamped Marble's Gladstone Mi. USA
Like eye brand man says, yours is pakistan damascus
and last I heard SMKW owns the Marble's trademark now,on all knives made..... except for the gun sight products,,,
ex owner Craig Lauerman still owns and produces Marble's gun sights in the USA

Re: Marbles
I knew stagman would have the definitive answer, look for the U.S.A.

Without highjacking the thread, I have a few Condor Tool & Knife machetes, do you happen to know if they are made in the same facility? Condor's products seem to be well made.Quick Steel wrote:Ditto what 1967redrider said. Without the Michigan tang stamp you have a Pacific Rim Marbles.

Most of that Asian stuff (not including Japan) gives me political aesthetic and emotional dyspepsia. I am seeing some fixed blades coming out of Russia that look really promising. Finland and Scandinavia?Quick Steel wrote:Ditto what 1967redrider said. Without the Michigan tang stamp you have a Pacific Rim Marbles.

Here is a skinner from Boris Krylov of North Carolina. He imports Finnish blades, mostly forged. The sheath dangler has a detachable springloaded very strong carabiner (not the chincy aluminum ones). The sheath is wood lined and the knife 'snaps' in very securely. There is a regular belt loop as well as the dangler.
