Iman you could probably sell that for twice what you paid for it but I'm waiting on your next toothy example to give a thumbs up.Ivoryman wrote:One man's trash is another man's treasure.gsmith7158 wrote:You know, when I was hauling produce Publix would have rejected that baby.Quick Steel wrote:Iman. A little boker showed up in the mail yesterday. It is a Boker USA 9697 model with bone (I think) handles and no shield. 2 blade one being a sheep foot. Some blade loss and dull. Great pocket size. Don't know the age thinking 1970's to 1980's. Got it for a shade over $15.00. Thanks for looking.

I like Camillus period. But it seems that I'm ending up with 14's & 72's.
I am NOT complaining. I have another 26 and a 68 on the way.

Rick, nice Blade Forum Buck! Anxiously awaiting mine - should ship next Monday or Tuesday.
NewWindsorNY, some of the Queens never had a tang stamp, only a blade etch with the brand name and model number - I have a Half Congress made that way.
Ivoryman, that Rotten Banana bone is so cool - I'm going to have to obtain one.
Dogleg, can you fit a cartridge casehead into the hole? Don't know the size of the hole, but a nickel 357 MAG case head would look cool.

That statement is borderline genius Jerry. That seems to be an identifying mark of a Boker. I like your thinking.jerryd6818 wrote:I had the idea that if the shield fell out, that's how you could tell if you had a genuine Boker.doglegg wrote:A little boker showed up in the mail yesterday. Recently got this stag handled 3-9/16" pen knife off e-bay for the grand sum of 17.50 to my door. Used but solid with a lot of life left in it. Has smooth blade action, no half stops with medium pull and solid/crisp snap. Beautiful, (to my eyes), stag on the front but rear scale came a much lighter color and without the texture of the front scale. I did dye the back scale to darken it considerably to at least more closely match the front in color at least.
Front tang on main blade stamped; Solingen Cutlery/B. Svoboda/Germany
Back and on both blades stamped: Rostfrei

The S&M is going to take time to get used to. It seems to be a left handed knife.

Hey Ken, love to hear a review of that auto. I've looked at them many times for many moons, just can't bring myself to shell out that many clams. But they look great and I like the concept. Just wondered if they are a let down or worth every penny? Looks good from the pics. I like the idea.

The Schatt & Morgan is a well made knife, I just really don't care for the opening mechanism. If I were a lefty, I'd like it better.
I'll probably never carry it so at this point I guess it's an investment.
