Very cool..... You can see those old "rabbit ear" shotguns at the gun shows around here that they sell as "wall hangers'....

Me, I just cant stand having a gun that I can't shoot.
LOL

Surprisingly for an inexpensive coach gun, the barrels are perfectly regulated. It is a using piece, e.g. has terminated ground hogs; also kept next to my bed.

QS, my 'under the bed' shot gun has ears on it too. A King Nitro. Only cock one barrel at a time as recoil will set off the other one.

Winchester 12 ga. Mod. 1200 Pump. My ex-brother-in-law owned a machine shop when I bought it so I had him cut the barrel off to 18½". For several years it lay between the box springs and the side rail on the cross support boards of the bed. After Linnea and I got together, she nagged and ragged on me to put it in the gun safe. At first I refused because I lived on the shores of a pretty sketchy neighborhood but then I got to thinking, I sleep so sound you could run a freight train through the bedroom and I wouldn't wake up. What made me think it was really any protection? So I moved it down to the gun safe. Shortly after that, my house was broken into and once again, in a tangential kind of way, she was right. More than 20 years later, it still lives in the gun safe.

Anyone else read this mag?
Not only a lot of info on the guns used all those years ago, but a lot of Wild West history. Only comes out quarterly, but I really enjoy it.

My Winchester 94 30-30 I gave my son for Christmas finally got to Houston yesterday. It was eleven days on the road with five of that spent just sitting in Dallas TX. I don't know what's up with that Dallas hub but I've noticed in the past that anything that comes through there moves at the speed of molasses on a cold winter day.

Ole Winchester home defender. Loaded for bear. Probably be a bad idea to come in uninvited.

I used to have a pump shotgun. But like the two 9mm and two .45 they all went away.
All we have around are a few .22 rifles, a .22 revolver and the .38 I showed a few months ago.
Looking for the magic penny!
