Great shots guys. I particularly like the splash of orange in your pic at the top John, thats a cool pic.

You got it doglegg,.... Osage, Bois d Arc, Hedgeapple, all the same and native to your state of Texas. I believe the white material on either side of the wood might be deer antler. Right...or...?

John I am confident you have antler. And the wood is likely oak tho birch is far more common in Scandinavian knives. My confidence on the antler is high. I had a knife with it in the past. Still, I am always open to correction by the more knowledgeable/experienced.
