Greg, that’s a beauty. I love that knife. That ebony looks fantastic.

Thanks fellas! It is indeed a beautiful knife and doglegg Roland has impeccable taste in knives. The last two that I got from him contrast quite nicely I think. ::nod::

John Lloyd makes knives to be used. For the first many years of knife making John did not bother with perfect fit or totally even blade grinds and people bought them as good and unique knives to use. Vince M. who sells all of John's knives finally convinced John to slow down and make knives closer to perfect so they could compete with knives made by highly regarded knife makers. The quality of John's knives rapidly improved and they became sought after by collectors.
I believe Mr. Lloyd misses the 'old days' when every knife he made was bought, pocketed and used. Greg, if you carry & use this knife, take some pictures and send them to John (via Vince) and you will totally 'make his day'.

Some very fine cutlery there; I approve! ::tu:: Just got in a skinner from Boris Krylov; he imports Finnish forged blades and puts them in order. These wood-lined sheaths are unreal. You can't know until you handle them.

Beautiful Mini-Trapper in spite of that small tight crack. Probably a job for some Super Glue. The price was certainly right.
