Hi Anthony,

I'm old fashioned, so I like the old clasics. My favorite is Case's 6308 pattern whittler. I have a chrome vanadium 1965 - 1969 red bone that fits my pocket real well. I'm thinking of getting a benchmade mini griptilian for when I'm in a modern mood. I've been hearing good things about them.

I guess I'm modern, my favorite is the 720s benchnade axis lock and I just got a Benchmade 5000 bt for Christmas also an axis, they are strong locks but the black blade is a scratch magnet.

I have about 80 different knives that could be an EDC, I end up carrying a knife for about a week, then I'll get bored and switch or misplace the knife, thats why I had the original question about the EDC.

I think I'm going to start packing one of these around for a while...

I do like the Benchmade 5000 Presidio knives alot, but can't get myself to fork out the dough right now. And, I need something a bit smaller and less threatening.

I have an "EDC rotation" of knives as well....whichever one strikes my fancy on that day, goes in the pocket.

I always have the J. Neilsen neck knife.
If I'm driving, I have a David Winston key knife on my car key.
Now, of the others mentioned above.....
A Ty Montell Ivory Saddlehorn Trapper
or
A Chris Bostwick Bone Gunstock
or
A Wendell Carson Pearl Muskrat
or
A Queen Stag Congress
or
A Benchmade Mini TSEK
or, finally

A Cold Steel "El Lobo"...........

Sometimes, it takes me awhile to get ready to leave.....

HEY!

I am one of those odd folks that over does it. I like my Case elephant toe. Bone handles. Big knife that gets a comment every time it comes out. Hey, if you like em show em. I always say. It has never failed to do the job, but I have to admit it gets lots of discussion going on knives and I always like that.

Hey all :)

My current EDC is a Spyderco UK Penknife Slipjoint but I've just started getting interested in the classics. So with any luck I'll be able to include a Case Canoe or Mini Trapper in my rotation.

Thanks

Typically, I always carry a small SAK (for the scissors and tweezers), plus a Case slipjoint, plus a Spyderco Paramilitary. A Leatherman Pulse rides on my belt in a sheath. So, I guess I'm usually ready for anything.

The slipjoint probably gets used the most. I have a few Seahorse Whittlers, a Canoe, and most recently, a Stockman (thanks to Bryan!). The Stockman is in my pocket at the moment.

This past couple of months, I've been finding a lot more Benchmade knives in my pockets. I recently started carrying a 440 Opportunist that I have a fealing I'll stick with for a good while. Very, Very nice imo! Until recently, I packed a yellow handled mini griptilian like the one I posted about on this thread a while back. I can't say enough good things about them either. The only reason I ditched it is because my cousin made me sell it to him. They are great imo... I do like the Opportunist better though. One of these days, I'll put the good ol Case whittler back in my pocket. I'm not sure what has me on the Benchmade kick...???
