Thanks Lansky, me too, love the grind, the scale left on, the stamp. And Bear Lake is my fav Northwoods anymore, so much more pocket friendly than my others and lighter, and fits my hand right. Great pattern. And I also like how it's not another GEC clone. I can't even tell you what frame it is, but doesn't seem to be the regular GEC format. Another great Derrick Bohn innovation. RIP DB. Also really like that Muskrat with the Wharn mod. Ratcliffe is it? Well, great bones and great Wharn.

How is the quality? I've been really interested in getting one of those rigging knives with the hawkbill blade.

Great looking knives, great stag, and good leaves in there too. Calendar shot.

I'll 'second' that Ivoryman... Great knives Tony and a beaut photo.

The #74 Ranch Hand was one of the first GEC's I got and it sees a lot of use.
Just picked up a nice slim single blade #74 to go with it.

Quality seems fine. With the caveat that I haven't used them for anything. They seem on par with what Camillus used to offer. If you haven't held one they are very slim. This can be good and bad.

Although sporting questionable steel, this sporting duo does offer a decent sheath.

A couple of edged shop tools. I use them for leather and pattern making.

bigbore, Glad you like the knives. I don't sell my knives. These are China made and the knives, while interesting, do not impress me with their quality.

Pair of GEC 35s and a pair that look to me like they are built on the same frame, but 60 yrs apart. Obviously not though. Popular pattern longevity.

This couple of Rough Riders I picked up are like mules in a Kentucky Derby thread. ::paranoid::

Would it make you feel better if I ran a team of mules out here to keep you company? The bigg'un just works that little one to death, trying to keep up.

Thank you. I guess I've been into knives all my life. Just not as a collector. I found this sight by accident. Started reading some of the posts and liked what I was reading. Going to the post office soon to pick up my first Case knife. I have two more on the way. This could very well be the start of a new compulsive disorder for me. I hope so.

Compulsion? Addiction? What ever you call it, it's almost as strong as drugs or alcohol for those who are in it's clutches. It will take your money and leave you smiling with no ill effects other than a thinner wallet and occasional regrets.

Just jump right in with both feet. You are very welcome here.
