Zeke, you have quite a few celluloid handled knives from the 1st generation. Have you ever experienced any deterioration/outgassing with Bulldog knives?

Here is my latest, a 4th gen. Greenbone 3 blade.

Hi Quick Steel,
Great looking trapper. I like the smooth green bone handles. I have acquired several 1st gen celluloid handled knives over the last year. I have not had any gas on me personally yet. There are a few that show signs of gassing or were near a knife that gassed. I have a fear of them gassing all of the time. I have taken all precautions for that not to happen, but my inexperience with the handle material has me worried. I can't bare the thought of being responsible for their destruction if they do gas. Like I mentioned before, I am trying to get pictures of my entire collection. Once I get that done, I believe I may start selling them. Thanks for your interest.

Its too bad BDs used quite a bit of celluloid. A lot of them look great, but I just don't want the worry and disappointment if they "let go," so I made a decision to avoid them. My impression is that they sell pretty well on ebay.
