is the only marking on knife. 5" closed. stainless(i think) throughout. liner lock with press stamped, rear end cap has hookremover stamped. bail in bolster. scaler on top of unsharpened blade. a few pepper spots. plastic jigged scales,with a small amount of schrinkage, no handle pins. a friend suggested the first u.s. issue liferaft survival kit knife,( there was cozmoline in the joint) but i think that's wishful thinking.

any info? do you recognize the maker?

That is a nice and interesting knife. Growing up all I ever saw was yellow, composition of some sort. That would be the only green one I've seen. I haven't seen one configured like that either.

I'm fairly certain it is a US military knife made by Camillus. There's an old Camillus advertisement I've seen with the title "Camillus Knives That Went to War" that shows it. It's called an "army and navy air corps emergency fishing knife" in the ad. I've been lookng for one for a little while. Very nice knife.

Its a emergency fishing knife. Made by Camillus. Listed in book "POCKET KNIVES of the UNITED STATES MILITARY" by Michael W. Silvey. Page 106.

Camillus made the #5369 pattern fish knife with the "Made In U.S.A" stamping during the 1940's. This knife has the black GNU handles.

Heres one I picked up this weekend at an estate sale.Looks the same but is strickly not stainless. More like plain steel.The estate was from an WW2 aviator and was in an old tackle box.
