Can anyone ID this knife?

Can anyone ID this knife?
I bought this knife a few years back but am unable to ID it. The sheild side scale was broke so I did a home repair on it. Anybody know what it is? There is no tang stamp.

don't have an idea. maybe the unusual shield will provide a clue......but, that is a nice old knife. looks like someone cleaned it......i love the forward pull on the main blade. and the scales are great. uh....send to me for closer look......will advise after i fon.....er inspect..

Yup, that would have been me that cleaned it slightly with a buffer.
The handle you are looking at had a big chunk missing that I replaced with a piece off an old 4 line Camillus parts knife.You can barely see the line at the base of the scale on the open side.
