Yep__8 point,170lbs. -- my buddy got this 8 point,( about the same size ) last Thursday morning,on the same pine ridge** neither of us saw anything this morning**

Both Deer are very nice. I don't know what you use but I'm going to guess your buddy's rifle in that picture is a Browning.

Hello my friend,

Depends on what side of the country you are on. In Nevada that is a “4 point typical rack”. Then there is also an “Irregular” or “atypical” as some call it where the number of points is not the same on both sides.

Here you only count points on one side if points are same amount on both sides. So an 8 point in the east is a 4 point in west. Some would also say “4 by 4”.

If it is hanging on the wall in Nevada, yes. Not sure about CA, there may be a PC term so deer/people are not offended, not sure. (Joke coming from a 25 year SoCal resident so I'm entitled)
