Can anyone identify this knife maker?

Could anyone tell who this knife maker is?

If that is the same bird it's a Japanese company that made knives for Frost for a while.

I don't know who that is, but to me it doesn't match the stamp posted by fitzroe.

I agree it doesn't look like the same stamp. surfybroad, can you take a picture of the stamp with the blade halfway open, like in the picture fitzroe posted. With the blade fully open, part of the stamp is under the bolster, not visible.

I don't recognize it either but a more complete picture might help. Also a picture if the entire knife might help someone recognize it. Are there no other markings anywhere on the knife?

Pretty sure it's Frost Cutlery. There are quite a few different stamps used by Frost.

I tend to agree that it is a Frost knife, just by looking at the handle scales. frost used a lot of diamond wood handle material, inexpensive but lasts a long time. I can't make heads or tails out of the stamp. Terry

Looks like Frost handle covers to me. The partially visible word above the bird (i think Frost used an eagle stamping) probably says "JAPAN".

The word above the eagle is "Cutlery" with a long tail "C" and the "Y" tail curling up to meet the "C" tail. I believe it's the same stamp I posted only worn.

This would be a case where reading the knife would help to determine the maker without the stamp. The knife looks like many other Frost products. The picture of the knife certainly helps to decipher the stamp.
